Norms and Responsibilities of DC

It is very important for students to know they do have the right to free speech and privacy. With understanding that, comes great power. Just because you can put something out there, doesn't mean you should. Whatever is put out there, can't be taken back.

It was asked above, when we thought there was abuse in the digital world. I will use the example of a particular newspaper in an unnamed state. This abuse of digital citizenship occurred after the Sandy Hook shooting. This digital newspaper posted which cities had schools, in the state, that had armed police officers. Now, this newspaper had the "right" to post this, but was it ethical? I think not. This was a security issue. The interactive map is no longer available, the picture still is. It will always be out there.

There are many examples in which the privacy of US citizens have been infringed upon due to the use of digital media by others.
The posting online of the names and addresses of officers by particular groups of people, the posting of photographs of children by adults with bad intentions, the media posting the names and addresses of people who recognize their second amendment rights. I could keep going.
