Norms and Responsibilities

Tanesh Revankar
The purpose of the digital world is to make life easier and more productive because of the ease in which information can be accessed. When anyone needs to get information, it is at their fingertips. And there are numerous sources from to where to obtain it.

However, it is also subject to abuse. Misleading information can be placed on the internet as has happened many times in the past. Damaging information that can hurt people's reputation is placed on the internet as well.

We as society are responsible for what should be posted online. People need to monitor the content as closely as possible. But considering the vast nature of the internet it is almost impossible to do so.

I completely agree.  There def. has to be standards on what should/shouldn't be posted.  Students need to know that what they do is free for the public to view.
