Having worked with students that are 1-1 or close to 1-1 in the classroom for several years, I believe it is vital that students understand the responsibilities that come with using technology not only in the classroom but outside of it as well. Students need to be taught what is respectful, responsible, and safe when interacting with others online. This include direct instruction pertaining to online bullying, keeping person information private, and awareness of the repercussions of not using technology appropriately. What students do online now can have an effect on them for the rest of their lives.
