Norms and Responsibilities

Heather Mauer
Digital citizenship is very tricky. On one hand, we are more connected to family and friends. At the same time we leave ourselves very open to opportunists that do not respect privacy or rights.
Norms...think before you post, protect your personal information and pictures, being careful what you post and thoughtful to how it will impact others as well as yourself in the future.

We have a responsibility to be leaders for students...to lead by example on how to be a responsible, thoughtful and connected digital citizen.

*This is an exciting but risky time in history for digital citizens.

I agree that it's a tricky situation. I love to be in contact with my family and friends, yet realize that it opens up my personal life to others outside of that circle.
