Norms and Responsibility

The internet has been referred to as the wild, wild, west because of the freedom users have in accessing information and expressing opinion.  Users of the digital world should have the right to do so as long as it isn’t unlawful.  Personal opinions expressed  may be reprehensible but people should have the right to express them.   With that said, this right comes with responsibility. There is a difference between expressing an opinion and attacking a person or group of people or just being plain mean.  It is easy to cross the line when anonymous.
