Norms and Resposibilities

Brian D Christensen
It seems to me that teaching responsibility in the digital age is no different than teaching responsibility throughout human history. Parents, teachers, mentors, etc. need to set ground rules, explain the reasoning behind the rules, and inform those being taught what consequences there may be for a variety of actions.

Everyone needs to be taught, and experience is often the best teacher. That experience often has to be guided, so the role of the parent, teacher, mentor, etc. has to have the best interests of the learner in mind from the very beginning.
