Students need to understand that things they post on social media can be seen by others. I always tell my students, "don't put anything online you wouldn't want your grandma to see". I also feel they need to be taught that just because someone is online and want to chat with them, doesn't mean they are who they are. It's a scary world out there and as an educator, I feel it's my job to try to make students understand that everything on the internet isn't always what it appears.
