I think using Gmail in the classrooms is essential. Our school district uses Google Classroom, so that makes it easy for students to submit work and access links and other class information. I like how it is tied in with Gmail, because it notifies the students of updates to their classes and helps them stay in communication with their teachers. Teachers can communicate with their students and parents. Gmail is also convenient for communication for office information like announcements, school closings, athletics, and other events.
