Podcasts: love them!

Julianne Derouin
I love my podcasts! I listen to them when I walk/run for fitness, when I'm in the car, when I'm folding laundry, painting my laundry room, organizing a closet. I download to my phone when I'm connected to wireless network so that I'm not using all my data when I'm away from a network.

There is such a variety of topics, ranging from entertainment (when I want to hear stories or hear a comedian) to advice (when I want tips on being a better leader, writer, starting a blog, establishing your price as a freelancer) to sweet stories that make your heart feel good to education (stock trading, algebra, history)

Some of my favorites are:

Magic Lessons with Elizabeth Gilbert

Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations

Serial

Lead to Win

The Dream Think Do

Creative Pep Talk

Have you ever used them with your students? I teach 4th grade and my kiddos love WOW in the World, But Why?, Story Pirates, and Pickle. I find they're a great settling in activity, and a great way to teach visible thinking routines.
