Prezi is a presentation tool that can be used to share information with students. I like that you can embed video into it and website links to directly link to within the presentation. This can be used to give a presentation to a class or a larger group as a whole about digital learning and using the internet in general. You could go over scenarios as well in the presentation. I also like how you can make the presentation as short or long as you wish.
Finding ways to successfully deliver information is a constant goal of teachers. A dynamic presentation needs to have lots of platforms for sharing data. Prezi allows for you to cluster different tools together to make any lesson more interesting.
Prezi is a tremendous presentation tool, much more current that the old Power Point we have been using! Embedding videos is a great way to add dimension to a "run of the mill" presentation. One use I like to add is a career research component with my high school students. When you connect school life to "pay check" life, the high school students generally engage and begin to find that research a career can be just as much fun as researching the purchase of their first Car!
Thank you! I think this would be great for inserting cultural videos into my presentations. That way students could not only learn about grammar/vocabulary of a particular region, but also see sights and video that pertain to that area, as well.
I like the comments on the Prezi presentation tool! I have not used this before. In my classes, I think that I could use this source for when they do Book Reports. Instead of the usual "book reports," students can use Prezi. It just makes things more interesting and engaging.
Also, we have always done the Career Unit and we have the students create a Power Point. I think that students are tired of this all of the time. I am sure that a Prezi presentation will capture their creative side.
