Quizlet

Julie Heitland
I use quizlet with my middle school students as a study guide for them to practice their reading skills before they take the final test. I have also used it for vocabulary testing. I like the fact that quizlet has several options to it and students can choose the option that works best for them. I encourage them to do the test that is there as a final review. Quizlet is a critical thinking tool that is great for all students regardless of their ability and reading level. It is good for the visual learner as it uses pictures and includes lots of repetition.

I use Quizlet as well.  I have created sets that match our weekly Journeys vocabulary words.  Each day they go through the flash cards first and then two other activities before they play Gravity as their last activity.

We use Quizlet all the time.  I love that students can access it at home.  I share the study set link with parents so they are aware that they have options at home in case a student "forgets" his / her work at school.  They also love playing Quizlet Live to review for tests.  We played that just today even. It's a great website and my students are drawn to it.

I'm a substitute teacher who has never heard of quizlet! But I will start using it, as it sounds great for studying for students! I'm sure many of the students I encounter, as well as the teachers, have heard of it and use it anyway.
