I just recently discovered the REMIND app and it has made communicating with a group of people so easy. I am able to send information out to families with regards to to schedules and due dates. It sends out text messages or if you have the app it will send it to your app. It has been very handy for me.
This does seem like a useful app. My students were forever forgetting special events, schedules, etc so this would be a good way to send an extra reminder to them and their parents. Most of my students were low SES so a having a working phone in the household was not always an option.
