Rights and Responsibilites of digital citizenship

People have a right to free speech in the digital medium.  They can express their thoughts and opinions for others to read and hear.   Being respectful and thoughtful of others is a responsibility of this free speech.  The opinion or thought I express may differ from another person, but that does not mean if I disagree with the other person I have to demean them for this difference in thought.  I can choose to respectfully and calmly open a dialogue with them or simply choose not to respond at all.  Privacy is a right in this digital age as well, but it is a responsibility of every person to consider carefully what they share or post with others.  Once it is out in the digital world, there is no taking it back.
