Rights and Responsibilities

Two main rights should include freedom of speech and personal privacy of information.

Responsibilities should be to use information with integrity and honesty. These carry over in many situations.  

It is important for us to give credit when information we use is obtained from other sources. It is also important to realize with the freedom of speech right also comes the responsibility to check the credibility of sources. If we plan to use information gained from these sources, it is important that the information be accurate. Perpetuating inaccurate information has many negative ramifications.

Information that we post should be done honestly as to not misrepresent ourselves or others. Sometimes when using social media or ecommerce, people do not honestly represent themselves or their products. It's easy to hide behind the fact that online we are anonymous to some degree. It is also our responsibility to not use private and personal information in dishonest or illegal ways.
