Section 1 Discussion Forum_Snell

Jaclyn Snell
One thing that I learned from this section was a little more about texture. I knew what texture was in relation to art, but didn't realize there were different types of texture in relation to art. In researching art terminology, I found an article that talked about the four types of texture in art: actual, simulated, abstract, and invented texture.

One thing that was a review for me was the information on primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Primary and secondary colors were something I remember learning about early on in elementary school, as we spent time mixing different paint colors to see what new colors they made. In high school art, I remember spending a lot of time in my freshman course studying the color wheel and learning about tertiary colors.
