For organization and collaboration, we use Google drive a bunch. So easy to use and store your work.

For communication, prezi would be good as well as remind101 (more for coaching).

Google drive is used by our students when they are working in groups, and collaboration is needed outside the classroom. I have not used prezi yet, but several of my students prefer that format versus a basic PowerPoint format.

Remind is a FANTASTIC tool.  It can be used to remind students about upcoming field trips or to remind them to bring something to class.  I've seen it used by coaches to send a message to parents letting them know when students will be arriving home from a game or event.  Remind is amazing and really helps keep a teacher connected with the students and their parents.

I also like Mindmeister,  a graphic organizer tool. Many students, especially in middle and high school, need to continue to find ways to take notes in a more organized fashion. It is simple to use and the students seem to be able to categorize their notes and ideas quite efficiently with this tool.
