I chose the Kindle mobile reading app.  I enjoy being able to take my book anywhere for when I am delayed somewhere or killing time until the next appointment.

There are all kinds/genres of books for free or near nothing on sites like guttenberg press or amazon that you can have with you anywhere using this app.  I would introduce this to the classroom for students that do not have a book during free reading time and also if we are reading a classic that is on guttenberg press, they can download it to their mobile device using the Kindle app.

This is a great idea.  In the kids world, there is a lot of wait time - waiting for the bus, waiting in the car, waiting in the doctor's office, etc.  With so many phones and tablets, using them for some reading time by the apps you have suggested makes good sense and no need to carry around a physical book in this case.
