Social Media settings

Tracey Jahn
I reviewed my Facebook settings.  I think it is a great idea to review the settings monthly and see if anything new has been added as well if you still feel the same about how you originally set the filters.  There are many settings that can be public in FB, such as pictures, posts, personal info, friends lists, etc.  It is important to consider who you want to have access to these features.  I also like that I can "approve" any pics or comments that I am tagged in before they get put on my timeline.  That being said, when other people post pictures on their personal pages that may include you, there is very little control of who then can have access.  Living in a digital age requires us to be mindful of our actions and behaviors at all times.  You never know when somebody is recording.

Yes, people seem to be recording everything now.  Reminding the students be careful on the pictures that they post and also to be aware they may be being recorded.
