Social Networking Sites

Mandey Kinzenbaw
I am a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram user.  I don't use Snapchat.  I don't like the location thing on that app where you can see where people are so easily.  I would say I am pretty moderate with the privacy settings I have on the 3 apps I use.  I definitely set it so people have to request to follow me and I can allow or block them.  I have been way more careful since having kids with what pictures I post of them online and who can see those.  But overall, I feel like as an adult, I am not as worried about it as I am with young kids or teens.  I feel like I can better spot fakes now or make smart decisions about what to share and what not to share.
I did take the time to explore Twitter because it is one I use sparingly.  I think Twitter has some excellent security measures.  You can completely block people, manage who can even message you, decide whether your tweets can be included in general searches for topics or hashtags or just with your followers.  You can even control how discoverable you can be. I also appreciate that you can manage your location. I think if you wanted to be secure on Twitter, but still follow the people you want to follow and enjoy the content of the app, you could do so easily.
