Use of Gmail

I have to admit I am not very tech savvy, so I found this class a good fit.  I have both a Gmail and Microsoft email account and have always used the Microsoft to do not more than check incoming messages, but after seeing all the advantages of Gmail, I will be utilizing the Gmail format instead.

Since beginning the class, I have added both emails to Gmail, and imported my contacts.  I have implemented both labels and filters to separate my incoming messages into students, parents, administration, personal and our farming business groups.  

I see how separating them into labels in order to send out mass mailings that may include instructions, attachments and tutorials will benefit each individual class I am involved with.  I will also set up groups for each individual class and use the Task feature to send deadline reminders, test notices, absent work, and missing work messages to both students and parents.
