Using GMAIL

Jennifer Elbert
Gmail can be used to send not only reminders for assignment due dates to parents and/or students but could be an easy way to share expectations, rubrics, and task lists all in one place. I don't know how many times I have had a student come in with a project due that had a question about something while they were putting it together. The chat feature could help alleviate any undue stress students (and parents ) can have while at home working on these projects/assignments. Especially for those families in which English is a Second Language. The translation tool can help to bridge some of those gaps as well.

Re: Using GMAIL

I think using GMAIL to let parents know their child's assignments is a good idea if the school does not have a program such as Infinite Campus that keeps parents in the loop of their child's school tasks.
