Using Gmail in my classroom

My school does not use Gmail but does use Outlook.  Many of the concepts used by Outlook are used in Gmail but with different applications. I do have a gmail account for personal use and I found this module helpful in learning new information. Much of the information learned is helpful such as organizing information, themes, signatures, filters, etc.  I have already added labels to a few of my emails that I need to keep.  Folders do seem more cumbersome which emphasizes the benefit of labels. Perhaps in the future my school might switch to gmail from Outlook which, since I use it already, will be an easy transition.
