Using Gmail in the classroom

I believe that Gmail will become even more important this school year with the uncertainty.  I plan to utilize contacts within Gmail.  I will set up groups for my different language classes with student emails so I can send a mass message out to the different classes.  I have not used this feature in the past, but it will be extremely useful this school year.  

I imagine I will also be using hangout with my students if we go to online learning.  The chat feature would be a great tool to use as well for students who have questions.
