getting control of very difficult class

I follow this site www.heidisongs.com she has  some great ideas and I use the one about calling Mom. that usually works just telling the student I'm going to call gets them to be good.

Communicating with parents is a very good strategy to use.  I use it often, but I feel that it shouldn't be used too much.
