I think using gmail to keep in contact with parents would be very helpful. Especially with all the extra ways you could set things up. People have gotten busier and harder to contact and having one more way to contact people would be helpful. Especially with how you can save short messages and not have to retype everything out over and over. Simple messages about missing assignments or a poor test grade can be a quick message that is saved and plugged in when you need to use it.
