If your Uphold 2FA code isn't working, it is usually caused by a time-sync error on your device, an incorrect entry, or app changes.
Follow these steps to quickly regain access:
1. Fix Time Sync (Most Common)
Authenticator apps (like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) rely entirely on precise time to generate codes. If your phone is even a few seconds off, the codes won't sync with Uphold's servers.
• iOS (iPhone): Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and toggle on Set Automatically.
• Android: Go to Settings > System > Date & time and toggle on Automatic date and time / Use network-provided time.
2. Verify Your App & Internet
• App Updates: Ensure your authenticator app and the Uphold app are updated to the latest versions.
