Perhaps, digital citizenship should be divided in three different entities in order to teach children their responsibilities and personal rights in regards to using the internet. The three entities are parents, teachers, and companies that provide security protection for computers. As a team working together this may slow down or avoid the dangers that a child may find on the internet. Even though the companies provide security protection to certain sites possibly they could have a pop-up with an ethical message about the site that the child was attempting to open. As for the parents and teachers obligations, they should continually get into the habit of reminding the children/students of their digital citizenship responsibilities and personal rights.
