New to me was that warm colors pop and cool colors recede. I knew about warm and cool colors creating different moods, but not about the cools receding. I would like my students' to experiment with this when doing costume design for our upcoming performance, that is being more intentional choosing colors to correspond with characters' desired prominence on stage.
