Assessment

Terri
I learned that I'm not great at taking tests and I still get test anxiety even as an adult. Towards the end I started guessing. Not surprisingly, I didn't do great the first time. I learned that if I'm guessing, so are students. It's not an accurate measure of mine learning or student's. This assessment was a little defeating.
I also didn't retain the information.

Student's could learn these concepts using a variety of strategies. Open ended questions would be more effective than true/false or multiple choice. Also, using student's notebooks would show student's learning.
