Business storage: access over price

Brakadabra
A mistake I see a lot, and I made it too, is choosing a storage company in Dubai by monthly price alone. The cheap quote looked great on WhatsApp, then I found out access was limited, pallet handling was extra, and getting my own boxes out on a Friday was a headache.

I run a small online shop, so I needed space for stock overflow, mostly cartons of home items and seasonal pieces. What mattered in real life was not just AED per month. It was access hours, how fast staff answered, whether I could add a shelf, and if they charged every time I asked them to move something.

What helped me was making a simple comparison sheet. I used their guide first just to narrow down the names, then I called each place myself. My rule was simple:

* Ask for total monthly cost, not the starting price
* Ask if access is same-day and how late
* Ask about notice period and deposit
* Ask if AC units cost more
* Ask if they charge for receiving deliveries

For me, the best-value option was not the cheapest one. I picked the company with easier access because I was visiting twice a week, and that saved me time and courier confusion.

Also, if you are new in Dubai and still figuring out areas and logistics, https://www.dubai.ae/ is actually useful for basic city info. My honest view: pay a bit more if access is good. For business stock, convenience wins.
