Connecting School Belief Systems to Digital Citizenship

Schools need to be proactive in promoting digital citizenship. Make a point of connecting digital citizenship to systems already in place.  For example, behaviors in our school are consistently connected to character counts.  Kids have been exposed to character counts since elementary, because they are very familiar with the meaning of each character trait, being respectful, responsible, and caring citizenships can easily be connected to digital citizenship.
