Creating multiple Upwork accounts

Wunderschon
I'm thinking about setting up a few different accounts on Upwork. Thing is, I can work in several different areas and having one account with a portfolio that jumps from graphic design to web development to copywriting just looks weird. Plus with multiple accounts I'd probably land more clients since each profile would be focused on one skill set. Does the platform actually allow this or is it against their rules? They've got all these terms and conditions but honestly, reading through that wall of text would take forever.

Yeah, platforms love burying the important stuff in pages of legal jargon. You think you're good to go, then boom, account suspended for something you didn't even know was a rule. Upwork's pretty strict about multiple accounts from what I've heard. Officially they want one account per person, and if their system catches you running several profiles they'll ban all of them. Most people don't realize how easy it is to get flagged until it happens. Then you're stuck trying to appeal and getting nowhere with customer support.

Losing access to a freelance platform means your whole revenue source disappears instantly. Every review you built up, ongoing projects, money waiting to clear, all gone. Sites take this stuff seriously and don't give second chances when rules get broken. You can read about how to create multiple Upwork accounts and manage them securely here: https://gologin.com/blog/multiple-upwork-accounts/ . They cover antidetect browsers which let you operate different profiles in isolated environments. Keeps each account looking completely separate so the platform won't tie them to the same person.
