I have had students send inappropriate pictures to each other, then the parents are involved which sometimes turns into a "who did it first" discussion which does not address the issue - the sender sent an inappropriate message/photo and the receiver replied with an inappropriate message/photo. I have stressed with parents that they own their child's phone and they need to research on how they can monitor their child's digital behavior as well as take control to block messages from inappropriate senders.
