I had a friend who was once the recipient of a very nasty Facebook post by another person who was upset. Once that poster had calmed down, they removed that post. However, other's still had seen that post and shared it with others. It made my friend feel very embarrassed even though it had been removed. Once something is posted online and then removed, it is never really "gone." Remembering this is important and imparting that knowledge to our students is important. It is important to teach our students to "Think before you post."
