I chose to use Facebook because Facebook seems to be the place where people share the most information. It's the social media site that contains the most information about me from my previous posts. One thing I like about Facebook is that you have the ability to change settings for specific posts that you want to be private and ones you are okay with being public. I like that Facebook has the feature “View As” so you can see how your profile appears to the public (who aren’t friends with you) as well as individual friends. You can also add friends to restricted lists and then have posts be shared with your friends except for restricted. That’s a nice feature as well.
One way I make sure the photos that appear on my Facebook timeline are ones I approve of is by changing my settings to approve tags. When someone tags me in a post, it will not appear on my timeline unless I accept the tag. That way I can check to make sure I'm not being misrepresented from the photo before it is shown to all of my Facebook friends.
