DC Internet Safety

pamela carlson
I went over my twitter account.  I saw that it was wanting me to add a bio to my profile pic.  In doing so I was able to add my location of where I lived, my website/email address and bday.  I chose to add nothing to my bio as I like to lay low with this twitter as I follow my children and would prefer that I have as little information available to those that follow them as possible. Something others should be aware of is under your privacy you can turn on and off photo tagging, let others find me by my email address and protect my tweets.  I did not realize that 'let others find me..' was on so I turned that off.  It is also important for students to keep tweets private 'on' so that only people following them can see their tweets...I believe it keeps people you don't know from stalking you.  Login verification was another feature I was not aware of and have turned on so that my account is more secure.  I also think that users should be aware that when a update occurs with your mobile phone that options that had been turned off are sometimes turned back on with update.
