I monitor my Facebook account in order to stay connected with friends and family and to see the latest on what is going on in their lives. I do not comment or like any of their posts because I wish to remain in the background and simply use Facebook to enjoy the happenings in their lives. My personal policy is to not use social media sites to "make statements" or "blow off steam" or even join a cause. there are other more effective ways to accomplish those means other than social media. My settings are brief and noninformational as possible. I also use LinkedIn to make connections with others.
