Facebook is something I check frequently but forget to check the settings. It should be done weekly. The 'friends' setting can turn to 'public' very easily without you knowing. Review your 'About' section on your FB page and make sure your contact and basic information is private to you only. There is no way to always be 100% safe, but be diligent about checking settings and very picky about who you feel is a worthy friend.
