I use facebook, but mostly as a communication with friends and family. I have posted photos in the past and it is nice to keep up-to-date with their family. My postings are about once a month, if that. I never friend students. I have been aware of the security setting because I have watched videos that show me step-by-step where to look and what to set. If you don’t get this information from a good resource you can miss things. It always surprises me how difficult facebook makes this for you, especially when it concerns their ability to get personal information about you so they can link you with advertising. It’s all about the money, so know that and act accordingly, or as best you can to protect yourself.
