When I have talked with students about internet safety the very first thing that comes to their minds is to catch a predator, or having a naked picture of themselves out there. When I think of internet safety I worry about my identity getting stolen. There is definitely a product of where each generation lies within their own lives. I believe that it is important to explain to young people that there are terrible people in the world. This is not a fear tactic it is truthful. Don't put anything on the internet that someone could use against you...i.e. Your phone number on your facebook page, or your e-mail. People are constantly trying to find ways to get what you have...don't give them any advantage.
