I checked my Facebook settings and explored ways that I could add more privacy to my account. I became aware of the most recent attempt to scam people for money using duplicated Facebook accounts when it happened to me. I have always rejected friend requests from people I do not personally know and am not sure how the scammer was able to create a duplicate account with my name and use my friend list to contact my friends asking to be "re-friended". After I contacted Facebook they are trying to make my account more secure by now notifying me if anything unusual occurs with my account.
