I reviewed the settings on my Facebook account to make sure that only "friends" could view my profile without permission. I checked the box to be notified if others wanted to "tag" me in photos.
It's a good practice on social media to not connect with people that you don't know, so, all of my "friends" are people that I know well enough to trust with at least the information posted on my profile. I'm also not the type to post EVERYTHING to my profile that I could post... just basic information that would be public knowledge in other areas of the Internet.
