I chose to look at my daughter's Facebook account. Her privacy settings were as follows:
1. Who can see my stuff ? and she has a) friends instead of public where everyone can see and comment on her page.
2. Who can contact me? a) friends of friends ( in other words she has to have a mutual friend in order to view and they must send a friends request and if she knows that person she can accept or reject depending of the person.
3. Who can look me up? a)This includes who can look her up by email or phone number provided if they have been accepted as friends. The other question in the profile asks if she wants a search engine outside of Facebook to link to your profile? She answered No.
I would say that for her the profile is safe.
