I explored Facebook because I have used it for many years with little regard for the settings and such options. I am assuming the safety/security settings have changed through the years, but I was able to see that It gave several options and choices to make based on my needs. For example: the option to block unknown people who friend request me was not an option I have used in past. I was able to try it and set a block on a random, inappropriate male who has attempted to contact me multiple times.
