Of all the social media sites to explore, I feel like Facebook is the toughest to keep up with. They are always changing their terms and privacy settings. As far as Twitter, I went in and checked the privacy settings and there were some there I didn't realize either. Like Discoverability and Send/Receive receipts. I think all social media has settings in place to try to grow their product and the more they set these up to be as transparent as possible, it increases their sharability thus growing their product. This leaves the users at the mercy of these unless they read the fine print.
FYI I went back to look at Snapchat account and found people that added me that I do not know. Instagram the same way. Unwanted solicitations, like spam emails, always trying to gain something from you.
