I took this class because social media scares me a little. However, I do have a Facebook account. A few years ago I sat it up because a family member had cancer and it was an easy way to keep in touch. I just checked the privacy settings and they asked me for my cell phone number. I didn't give it because it makes me nervous. Maybe I'm a little too old school. I am slow to add people to my friends list. Most of my friends list consists of just family and friends. I am a professional and do not want to give out information to just anyone. I am very careful of what I post. This class has helped me understand Digital Internet Safety better. I will be much more at ease to discuss Digital Media with my students.
