Facebook is the main social media that I use. And my privacy setting are set as private as I can get them. But I think those settings should have more options about individual posts being shared, ads received, etc. Also, if one of your friends comments on your post, then it can be re-posted to that person's friends. People you don't even know will see your posts without your knowledge. Or your posts can be shared by someone else to all their friends who can then share it to all their friends and on and on. So it is extremely important to be cautious about what you put on Facebook in the first place.
