I checked the settings on face book. I read over the settings we can change. I have to wonder how many adults and teenagers actually change or check those setting at all. I have a face book page but I am not good at putting anything on it or checking it at all. I am amazed at the amount updates, posts, pictures my family and friends put on it. My best friend just became a grandma and her son and daughter in law asked that she did not put anything online about the new baby because they were concerned about their baby being abducted. Another family down the street puts lots of pictures of their new baby on line. It seems like people perceive what is appropriate to share on the internet very differently so it will be good to talk about with my middle school students so they will have a better understanding of internet safety as teens and adults.
