I have had students who were not accepted into the college of their choice because of their postings on Facebook. Students need to be made aware that all the things they post are permanent even though they hit the delete button. It cannot be erased from the internet. Pictures of them holding up a beer and being drunk will get noticed by all who sees this, which is not their choice when they think about it. But, they made the choice to make this evil behavior public by posting without thinking of the consequences.
