I think it is normal for kids to post stuff especially on social media without thinking of the consequences. The more knowledgeable the students about digital citizenship the more aware they can become about their actions. They cannot simply delete something the put out there and expect the situation to be rectified. I think it is the responsibility of all adults to help the students understand their digital footprint as well as model the proper use of the digital world. I would like to think that we have the right to keep things private that are meant to be private.
